Top Tips For Dripping Trips

The rainy season has come, you’d better prepare yourselves for those wet days. Here are some tips to keep you warm and comfortable :

1. Arm yourselves with an umbrella and if possible, with a rain coat or parka when you go out. Choose a sturdy umbrella, not a flimsy one with fragile ribs. To prevent your raincoat from getting moldy, wipe its inner part right after use and hang it to dry.

2. If it’s raining cats and dogs and you’re facing a dirt on the road spoil your appearance. Bring spare clothing in case you get soaked. Put your shoes in your bag and wear flip-flops instead.

3. Always wear footwear that has a good grip (with grid patterned outsoles for slip resistance).

4. Carry a small plastic bottle of antiseptic liquid like Dettol with you and wash any muck or dirt of your skin. To prevent infections, never scratch itchy spots on your skin before washing.

5. Wear bright colors so that drivers and riders can clearly see you on the roads.

6. If you drive a car or ride a motor cycle, always check the air pressure level in your tires. Bald tires are a no-no in the rainy season. You can lose control of your vehicle on a slippery road. Make sure that the wipers and windows of your car work properly.

7. The first rainfall is always welcome, right ? Don’t get carried away by its magic. Wait for a few minutes before you’re wet through.
The first rainfall, especially in polluted cities, always bring pollutants back with it to earth. Prevention is better than cure. To keep those sniffling days away during the wet season, try having a hot shower right after you get drenched.
